About the role:

Reporting to the Administration Coordinator, the Administrative Officer is responsible for the provision of a confidential, efficient and comprehensive customer orientated frontline administrative support. Duties for the role may involve:

  • Providing efficient booking and rebooking facility for staff, students, numerous groups and hydrotherapy classes
  • Processing all new referrals by updating the Outpatient Referrals Applications software package
  • Effectively & efficiently processing telephone calls including bookings, cancellations, reappointments and other enquiries
  • Sorting and distributing mail, faxes and referrals from clinics, patient care divisions and GPs
  • Processing all new patient registrations and update information on the Patient Master Index

About you:

  • Ability to effectively and appropriately manage workloads. This includes setting and managing task prioritization work when working in times of high demand
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Experience in handling a wide range of clerical and administrative tasks including reception, filing, word processing and information management
  • Experience, and competence, in the use of computers including Microsoft Office suite (especially Word, Excel and Outlook)
