Job Summary

Under the supervision of the VP/GM, the Analyst, Operations is responsible for assisting with a positive and efficient work environment for operations and the supporting departments. The overall goal of this position is to organize databases, find areas of improvement, analyze data & communicate to the operation. This position assists with supporting Houston Ready Mix.

Job Responsibilities

Operations

  • Understand and analyze multiple databases for the Houston operation. Included, but not limited to Verifi, Command, Intelex, SAP, Vega, CX Go, Ready Mix Report Cared, and driver forecast.
  • Works with the plant personnel to fine tune the batching process to coincide with the Verifi system.
  • Partners with plant employees to analyze best practices to communicate important information to the plants.
  • Implement a standardized system throughout all plants to ensure efficiency.
  • Compile and analyze weekly project reports for supervisors.
  • Prepare and present weekly and monthly metrics.
  • Weekly visits to plants to show presence and assist with sharing and maintaining best practices.
  • Generate and analyze report on accuracy of current GPS tracking system, EPOD system and comparing the effectiveness to current tracking system.
  • Visits various jobsites to ensure customers receive satisfactory service according to CEMEX standards.
  • Generate and analyze reports on driver/plant employee production and safety to improve morale for better customer experience from the source.
  • Generate and analyze reports on current call back system, customer ordering processes and identify areas of opportunity to improve scheduling and order delays for customers.
  • Analyze customer satisfaction between first round orders compared to the rest of the day and identify areas of opportunity.
  • Analyze overhead expenses from reworking jobs to create a standard training to minimize costs.
  • Performs other job responsibilities, projects and tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years related experience preferred.
  • College degree or relevant working experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficient with PC Package
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Detail oriented

Working Conditions

  • Long periods of standing and/or walking required
  • Some exposure to dust, noise, and extreme temperatures
  • Capability to work extended hours as necessary
  • Ability to work with standard office/computer equipment
  • Ability to participate in required overnight travel as necessary
  • Must wear protective equipment while at the location

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent sitting, standing, climbing and walking.
