What is the job about?

Grundfos CBS Inc. is seeking an experienced Assembly Tester to join its 2nd shift Operations Team. The Assembly Tester will be responsible for the management of product flow through the pump testing process. They are responsible for this testing from the initial record creation through the mechanical and electrical test setup, to the review and analysis of pump performance. They are responsible for safe and accurate test methodology at all times, diagnosis of poor pump performance and associated rework and the generation of customer performance data. The Assembly Tester will collaborate within the operations department. This position reports directly to the Quality Manager and will operate daily out of the Brookshire, TX facility. Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Assemble and disassemble pumps in the shop.
  • Complete comprehensive inspections of pumps and components.
  • Identify the cause(s) of mechanical/electrical pump failures & recommend corrective action.
  • Daily maintenance of departments equipment and tools.
  • Record and monitor each orders labor and material.
  • Always ensure and control safety and quality assurance.
  • Inventory functions, including stocking, pulling parts, and conducting inventory audits under direction.
  • May be required to assist service mechanics in field repair.
  • Be environmentally conscious of work environment.
  • Adhere to inventory control and other company procedures as applicable.
  • Professional conduct always.

Your background

We imagine that you have:

Qualified candidates will possess a High School Diploma or equivalent. Additionally, have experience with vertical and horizontal pump assembly, as well as crane lift rigging preferred.

  • Basic Electrical Fundamentals required.
  • Capable of reading and operating precision instruments.
  • Able to satisfactorily complete forklift training, actual experience preferred.
  • Should be capable of working overtime when required.
  • Capable of reading and operating precision measuring instruments
  • Will be required to operate and maintain a valid forklift license
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Capable of both written and verbal communications in English
  • Manual dexterity necessary. Able to use both hands and reach with hands and arms
  • Specific vision abilities include close, distance and peripheral vision
  • Able to work in a non-climate controlled factory environment
  • Able to work 2nd shift (2pm-10:30pm)
