Position: Delivery Driver’s Assistant

Daily Bonus Rate (Assistant/ Helper): $ 150.00 a day

Department: Residential White Glove Delivery and / or Assembly - Installation / White Glove

Warehouse Location: Garrett Indiana

Schedule: 6:00am / 5 days of Mon - Sat / Full Time

Industry: Transportation / Furniture Delivery and / or Assembly - Installation / White Glove

Client: Vans Home Center - Appliances / Furniture / Mattress

Job Summary: Description: As part of a two-person team, bring furnishings, appliances plus to homes, deliver, set-up, assemble, demonstrate features, and remove packaging while providing exceptional customer service to people.

Responsibilities:

Assist driver in navigating to deliver to customers.

Call customers to alert them to visit.

Help the driver when backing up to make sure there are no obstacles.

Keep cargo space in truck organized and debris free.

Lift items weighing 80-100 lbs. with partner.

Minimum Requirements: Must be 18 years old.

Able to perform the essential functions of the job.

Speak English and communicate with customers by cell phone and in-person.

Experience: Previous 12 months delivery of furniture, appliances or moving company.

Qualifications:

Experience Preferred: Previous 12 months delivery of furniture or appliances or moving company.

Physical Requirements:

Seeing and hearing: Read documents, computer screen.

Dexterity: utilizing Cell phone, cell phone typing, and writing. 0-24 %

Climbing, stooping, squatting and kneeling. 75-100 %

Standing and walking. 75-100 %

Lift in excess of 90+ pounds. 75-100 %

Company Screening: Must successfully complete pre-employment testing / background / drug screening / physical exam.
