Position Objectives:

Community Mobilizer will work on to enable and encourage people to adopt good practices regarding health & hygiene’s and to increase control over their state of health.

Specific Duties, Responsibilities, and Accountabilities

Contributes towards the overall goal and objectives of PRCS.

Works in line with the Red Cross and Red Crescent Principles.

Adheres to the Security rules and procedures.

Collect necessary baseline information about the target community and conduct community mapping and social surveys for WASH and Mobile Health Units in the BHU catchment areas.

Identify and prepare a list of leaders, influencers, community activists, and formation of village health committees etc.

Plan, form, and maintain village health committees at each health facility catchment villages.

WASH and preventive health and public health education dissemination to patients and community members.

Support the Volunteers and field teams in conducting the assessment Commat community level and organize community health and awareness sessions .

Establish strong contact and coordination with the community and volunteers for the introduction of the project and conduct awareness sessions as per project requirements.

Motivate and encourage potential community leaders and volunteer deployment to advocate and promote the project in their community and ensure maximum coverage to Health and WASH interventions.

Engage with community networks and plan/implement social mobilization and community engagement activities in hospitals, public/private spaces, mobile health camps. etc.

Capacity building of village health committee members and volunteers through community mobilization and leadership skills.

Develop and maintain the necessary documentation and record of all project activities up-date all record at the office level and identify case studies from the community for documentation.

To conduct participatory monitoring of water and sanitation facilities usage and maintenance with the community.

To inform the local authority and health department if there is an outbreak in the community that requires an immediate response. Keeping up-to-date with current health promotion trends.

Record keeping and timely report submission to the supervisor.

Education

BA, BS in Social Sciences from HEC recognized Institute / University.

Master’s degree Holders will be given Preference.

Experience

Minimum 02 years of working experience in the same field in Health and WASH projects.

Skills/Knowledge

• Fluency in spoken and written in Urdu & English. Sindhi speaking will be preferred.
• Certification in WASH and Community Mobilization Skills (CMST/LMST) would be added value.
• Work towards the achievement of PRCS Vision and long-term objectives
• Flexibility to travel to conduct field visits for monitoring and coordination purposes
• Good command on Microsoft Office (word, excel & power point)
