Designer / Drafter

Actalent is currently hiring Drafters and Designers in the Johnson County area who are looking to either start their career in the industry or take a step up with responsibility and challenges. Qualified candidates must have hands on experience with AutoCAD. All levels of drafting/design experience are encouraged to apply!

Description:

The Engineering Technician is the technical resource for providing engineering, product and installation information necessary to quote and execute new and reconstruction projects.

• Generate installation bills of material.
• Generate installation and fabrication/construction drawings.
• Assist Engineering Supervisor in developing job approaches for meeting schedules and cost budgets with emphasis on overall project cost reduction an innovation.
• Interface with vendors to assure appropriate component application.

AutoCAD, Drafting, Mechanical, Microsoft Excel, Engineering, Design, HVAC

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Four year degree in CAD Drafting/Design or two year technical degree/certification related to engineering or construction technology.
• 2-5+ years' experience in detailing and application of structural and mechanical drawings.
• AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel are required.
• SolidWorks experience is a plus.
