Freelance Communications Supervisor

This Communications Supervisor is instrumental in facilitating effective communication strategies and streamlined processes across various platforms. Your pivotal role involves managing backlog intake/reviews, submitting content through multiple channels, setting up communications and entering communication details into enterprise tools and systems, and supporting the program manager with meeting documents, ensuring cohesive and timely information dissemination across the team.
The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of project management experience, particularly in leading internal communications programs. The ideal candidate will possess proven expertise in communications or a related field, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to foster cross-enterprise and external relationships. Proficiency in tools such as JIRA is essential, along with a track record of managing enterprise-level communication programs and demonstrating strong organizational skills.
What you'll do
You'll collaborate closely with the project manager to manage backlog intake and reviews, ensuring updates are accurately reflected in JIRA
You'll support communications leads by submitting content through various channels, maintaining alignment with communication strategies and guidelines
You will coordinate with team members to schedule and execute communication campaigns as necessary, and assist the program manager in updating meeting documents promptly
What you bring:
6+ years of project management experience leading internal communications programs, coupled with proven expertise in communications or a related field
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, alongside the ability to develop cross-enterprise and external relationships
Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, as well as experience managing enterprise-level communication programs
Strong organizational skills, initiative, and follow-through capabilities are critical, as is the ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels of an organization
A Bachelor's degree is preferred, and the ability to travel up to 2 times per year
Additionally, familiarity with JIRA, Page Proof, and MS Office will be advantageous
