Job Description

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to establish a foothold with Manulife John Hancock and grow within the organization. This position offers a unique opportunity to delve into the 401K investment industry, gain in-depth knowledge, and be exposed to various departments within Manulife John Hancock.

Typical Day in Role:
This position is responsible for the effective operation of the Imaging and Fulfilment centers for head office and main locations located in Boston.

  • Responsible for accurately and efficiently managing all incoming and outgoing Advisor mail for the US Division Mail Services operation.

  • Provide accurate handling, sorting, scanning and indexing of incoming mail for the US Division as well as handling all outgoing mail through the Fulfilment Centre.

  • Ensure quality customer service and support to the Admin Group through the business unit initiatives and production.

  • Will be held accountable to service levels determined by the Business Unit’s requirements and standards.

  • The incumbent will receive, open (as applicable), sort, prep, scan and index all incoming mail, output and courier to the various business units within US Division. As well as prepare, sort and ship all outgoing mail and couriers.

  • The incumbent is responsible for the final processing of all troubleshooting mail, which involves a higher level of knowledge and skill. As well as processing inbound bulk mail, stats and daily workflow.

  • The incumbent will also be responsible for training all new staff within the Imaging and Fulfilment center.

  • The incumbent will also be cross trained amongst 3 different groups. Statement, Imaging, Fulfilment

  • Attentiveness is required as the individual will be handling sensitive PII data (Use of cell phone is not permitted during the shift on floor)


Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

  • 1 year of experience with Imaging and Indexing systems

  • Precise communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook

  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job. Some heavy lifting is required up to 20lbs, individual will be on their feet 4 hours a day.


Nice-To-Have Skills:

  • Previous experience working with mailing equipment, folder inserters, postage meters.

  • Previous experience with scanning, indexing and mail sorting


Soft Skills Required:

  • Strong Organizational skills - Multi-Tasking and Prioritizing for a high volume, deadline driven environment.

  • Attention to detail

  • Strong Analytical and Problem Solving skills - a demonstrated ability to manage change.


Education : Some college education preferred

Salary & Benefits

The annual base salary for this role is listed below.

Primary Location

Boston, Massachusetts

Salary range is expected to be between

$32,925.00 USD - $54,875.00 USD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
