PURPOSE OF POSTION:

Labourer will be responsible for general cleaning and maintenance of the Locomotive shop areas.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Emptying garbage’s, change bags and empty metal bins
• Clean and sweep shop floors, remove snow around doors and keep the shop area in an orderly fashion
• Pressure wash and clean Maintenance bay, shop floor, equipment and vehicles

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma/general equivalency diploma or equivalent experience, required
• Experience working with/around heavy equipment
• Must be able to work within strict established safety and work guidelines/rules to complete job
• Ability to pass the required written examinations, read and understand safety instructions, rules, regulations and other written or printed material in English
• Proven dedication to safety and ability to complete work within guidelines/rules
• Available to work all types of shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays in all weather conditions
