Production Laborer

Gowan Milling Blytheville is looking for a Production Laborer. This position is under direct supervision of the Production Operator/Formulator.

Job Description:

• To perform labor functions that include but are not limited to the following:
• Production Operations
• Packaging Operations
• Housekeeping, which includes system cleanouts
• Any number of jobs other than what is described in this basic classification

Required Qualifications:

• To perform this job satisfactory, the candidate must possess the following qualifications:
• Capable of following safety procedures
• Capable of following work instructions
• Capable of operating limited equipment and tools
• Capable of working in confined spaces
• Capable of operating a forklift

Work Environment / Physical Requirements:

• Regularly required to remain in stationary position for prolonged periods of time.
• Occasionally required to move around the plant site
• Regularly required to descend/ascend stairs.
• Regularly lift and/or move objects 5-50 lbs.
• Occasionally lift and/ or move objects more than 50 lbs.
• Requires frequent bending, reaching, squatting, pulling, and pushing.
• Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends, and holidays The position rotates days to nights, 12 hour shifts, 6am-6pm, 6pm-6am Typical M-F; some Saturdays when needed
• Must be able to properly wear a full-face respirator.
• Must obtain a forklift license within 6 months of full time hire date.
• Must be able to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment.
• Starting pay rate $19/hr
