Description

We're in search of a skilled Scrum Master to lead and guide our Client's Global development teams. As a Scrum Master, you'll be instrumental in applying the principles of scrum to drive high-quality work. Your responsibilities will include managing timelines, resolving issues, and coaching team members on Agile methodologies. Ultimately, your role will contribute to fostering self-organizing teams that are adaptable and productive during sprints. To excel in this position, you should possess a deep understanding of the scrum framework and its various components. Your ability to effectively coordinate people and projects, with a focus on achieving deliverables, will be crucial. This position is open to candidates Canada-wide. There is the opportunity for this to turn permanent after the initial contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a servant leader for one or more agile teams, facilitating the Scrum or Kanban process while promoting collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead all Scrum events, such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives, ensuring their productivity and focus.
  • Collaborate closely with team members to plan and execute work delivery according to sprint schedules, while considering resource capacity planning.
  • Foster internal communication and collaboration within agile teams, as well as with key business stakeholders when necessary.
  • Partner with product owners, business stakeholders, and project managers to prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business needs and priorities.
  • Address impediments and obstacles hindering team progress, working closely with stakeholders to find effective solutions.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Scrum Master, preferably in a global team environment.
  • Finance application experience is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of agile principles and practices, with experience implementing Scrum or other agile methodologies (Kanban ...) in real-world projects.
  • Experience working with software development team. Familiarity with agile tools and software (ex. DevOps, Jira) is a plus.
