Organization

  • Function : Shipping operations processing Customer requirements.
  • Country : USA
  • Location : El Dorado, AR
    • Reports to (title) : Shipping Lead, Shipping Manager

Context (Examples: creation or restructuration of a department, process maturity, new position, current specific department stakes etc.)


  • Operate All Equipment require for daily shipping operations
  • Work in the plant shipping area.
  • Work (typically) 8 hour shifts, five days per week
  • Day shift
  • Work overtime as needed

Purpose (Sum up the position using one or two sentences)


  • Processing finished goods based on customer needs and expectations.
    • Transport, store, package, and load material for shipment.

Areas of responsibility (Use active verbs to define areas of responsibility and especially the weight of each responsibility : “Manage”, “Support”, “Participate”; “Is responsible for”, “Is in charge of”, “Promote”, “Contribute” etc.)


  • Operate Mobile Equipment used to handle materials in the department.
  • Process production material into finished goods inventory.
  • Follow procedural guide lines handling and processing materials
  • Operate department cutting lines.
  • Assist all other Team member as needed to increase efficiency.
  • Monitor and improve product quality
  • Monitor and improve operator/machine efficiency
  • Operate the machines according to machine work instructions/SOP
  • Produce product “on time” per current work schedule
  • Comply with all safety rules at all times
  • Follow all housekeeping practices
  • Adheres to all Nexans AmerCable’s Safety Standards and Safe Work Practices
  • Follows and abides by Nexans Code of Ethics and Business Conduct Standards

  • On-time delivery – Deliver product on-time every time
  • Delivery Quality product to customer specifications
  • Area organization and cleanliness. A clean and organized area is a SAFE area.

Required skills and qualifications (Management and function competencies regarding available Nexans models, personal attributes, education, experience)


  • Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment
  • Must be able to physically move material, possibly up to 75 lbs.
  • Good reading comprehension is required.
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to work extended hours as needed, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must have basic mechanical abilities.
  • Must be able to operate mobile equipment and computer systems
  • Required training includes ISO 9000 principles
