Job Description:
Summer Temp Positions give support to The Welch Center for Graduate and Professional Studies specifically summer programs: Graduate Low-Residency Summer Programs and Advance Placement Summer Institute (APSI).
Duties include but are not limited to the greeting of students and visitors; answering phones; and handling all inquiries about summer programing. Will also be responsible for copying, filing, data entry, program-specific projects, and picking up mail.
Program specific duties include but are not limited to the following:
APSI - delivering of materials to classrooms, coping of material for faculty, setup and cleanup of coffee stations, delivery and pick up of attendance sheets, support for faculty and students.
Low Residency Programs: - delivering of materials to classrooms, coping of material for faculty, setup and cleanup of coffee stations, coordinating residency linen bags ie: linens, hangers, towel sets, etc. Set up of dorm rooms for students. Clean up linen bags from dorms. Organize all residency items for storage. Support for faculty and students.
Preferred candidates should possess the following skills:
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a confidential, professional manner
- Ability to listen effectively and respond reflectively
- Ability to manage administrative tasks with efficiency
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Have experience as an effective team player
