We are looking for a Test Kitchen Coordinator in 3106 SE C St, Suite 2, Bentoville, AR 72712 USA. Your mission will be to:

Purpose (Objective):

The Test Kitchen Coordinator is responsible for the operation of the Bentonville Test Kitchen. The kitchen must be easily and efficiently usable by approved clinic and/or sensory staff. This is essential on a daily basis through the entire year. The primary purpose is to control and monitor all schedules, functions, food, supplies and equipment in order to ensure a smooth transition between tasks and operators. Outside vendors must also be accommodated and assisted when necessary.

Main activities:

  • It is critical to have knowledge of clinic and/or sensory projects.
  • Must maintain Test Kitchen calendar for usage of space, equipment, and food items. This also includes control of the product evaluation room.
  • Supplier relations and assistance is important as Test Kitchen Coordinator is the main contact person prior to presentations.
  • Maintenance and operational knowledge of all current and future equipment is mandatory. Experience with equipment set-up and break-down is needed, including broilers, fryers, holding units, ovens, toasters, beverage, soft-serve, etc.
  • Must be comfortable with hands-on equipment training and maintenance. This also includes common repair work.
  • Maintains current knowledge regarding food safety standards to aid in team awareness and compliance
  • Food preparation for in-house presentations is commonly expected.
  • Off-site market research or food preparation and temporary kitchen set-up for conventions is occasionally required.
  • Responsible for the stocking and organizing all storage areas – freezer, cooler, dry storage. Receiving food shipments by truck and post and the proper storage and reporting is essential.

  • Able to identify and halt non-conforming work in their scope of work

YOUR PROFILE

Experience in research facility or test kitchen management is essential in order to synchronize business goals with kitchen realities.


Knowledge of:
Basic computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel), general safety practices, and food service or food technology.
Ability to: work with others as part of a team, communicate effectively in both oral and written forms; compose quality written materials; and effectively present information to other members of staff. Climb ladders, frequently lift, carry and/or push light to heavy materials, as well as stand and walk most of the day.
