This role is essential in ensuring efficient warehouse operations and accurate handling of packages.

Job Description: As a Warehouse Package Handler at Global Partners, you will be responsible for managing the movement and handling of packages within our warehouse. Your role will involve sorting, loading, and unloading packages, as well as maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities:Package Handling:

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Sort and categorize packages based on destination and other relevant criteria.
• Load and unload packages from delivery vehicles and arrange them in designated warehouse locations.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently.

Inventory Management:

• Assist with tracking inventory levels and reporting any discrepancies or issues to management.
• Ensure accurate labeling and documentation of packages and inventory items.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and audits to maintain stock accuracy.

Warehouse Maintenance:

• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment by following safety and sanitation protocols.
• Assist with organizing and optimizing warehouse space to improve efficiency.
• Ensure that all safety procedures are followed to prevent accidents and injuries.

Operational Support:

• Collaborate with team members to meet operational goals and ensure timely processing of packages.
• Support other warehouse functions and tasks as needed, including order preparation and shipping.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay informed about warehouse procedures and company policies.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a warehouse or package handling role is preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift and move heavy packages and handle physical tasks efficiently.
• Basic math skills and proficiency in using warehouse equipment and systems.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing inventory and handling packages.
• A positive attitude with a commitment to contributing to team success and maintaining a safe work environment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if necessary.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in warehouse management or logistics are a plus.
