The Opportunity

Leavitt Machinery is looking for a Warehouse Person to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta. As the Warehouse Person you will be responsible for accurately processing incoming goods and outgoing orders, while maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly warehouse environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

As the Warehouse Person your key responsibilities will include:

  • Receive shipments from carrier and verify shipment to carrier waybill
  • Correctly identify goods received and verify quantity against vendor packing slip
  • Generate receiving reports for incoming stock orders
  • Stock goods received, ensuring goods are placed in the correct bin location
  • Check all items pulled against packing slip to ensure order accuracy
  • Prepare shipping documentation for outgoing orders and contact carrier to request pickup of orders
  • File packing slip copies
  • Maintain all stocking locations, ensuring stock is stored in an orderly manner
  • Perform inventory counts and investigate inventory discrepancies

Required Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Previous work experience in a warehouse environment strongly preferred
  • Mechanical experience with material handling equipment is an asset but not required
  • Basic computer skills, including working knowledge of Outlook and ERP systems
  • Comfortable working with and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods, reach above shoulders occasionally, and bend frequently
  • Clear verbal communication skills when interacting with employees and customers
  • Ability to visually identify objects and people at a distance, read and comprehend customer forms and purchase orders, and discriminate shapes and colours

The base pay range for this role is: $26.99-$32.70 per hour depending on experience. This is a unionized position.

This is an onsite role based in Edmonton, Alberta.
