Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Data Analyst to join our remote team in the Financial Services industry. As a Junior Data Analyst, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting financial data to support decision-making processes. This part-time position offers flexibility and an opportunity to gain valuable experience in the field.

Skills

Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and interpret large sets of data
Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel or Google Sheets
Basic knowledge of statistical concepts and techniques
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a remote team environment

Responsibilities

Collecting financial data from various sources and ensuring its accuracy and completeness
Analyzing financial information using Excel or other data analysis tools
Identifying trends or patterns within the collected data that could impact business decisions
Preparing reports summarizing findings from data analysis for management review
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide insights based on analyzed data
Assisting senior analysts with ad-hoc projects as needed

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or related field preferred (or currently pursuing)
Entry-level experience in a similar role is desirable but not required; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Prior knowledge of the Financial Services industry is an advantage.
Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R is beneficial but not mandatory.
Good communication skills both written and verbal.
