The Opportunity
At Shine Lawyers, we champion better justice for our clients and as a full time Administration Assistant within our Settlement Services Team in our Toowoomba office, that starts with you.
Within this team, you’ll have the privilege of finalising the settlements for our deserving clients who have worked tirelessly with their solicitor to seek justice. You'll do this by communicating with government agencies, defendants, and superannuation funds to ensure that payment is made to our client within the terms of their settlement.
Our client is at the heart of everything we do, and this role requires the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment, so that payment is made to our clients in the shortest possible time frame.
With empathy, adaptability and initiative, you will be a true champion of our clients by:
- Focusing on providing an exceptional client experience.
- Utilising a variety of systems and software to manage workflow based processes.
- Manage a list of client matters, ensuring that all are given the highest priority.
- Progressing client’s matters with a sense of urgency and excitement.
- Accurately recording interactions in systems, ensuring transparency for the greater business.
- Providing accurate billing to clients for their claim.
- Building strong working relationships across all areas of the business to get the best possible outcomes for our clients.
- You may have come from a background working with numbers and finances, however this isn't mandatory as we're happy to provide the training to someone willing to learn, or looking to begin their career.
- You’ll be naturally empathetic and have a resolute passion for helping people, especially those who may be experiencing trauma.
- You’ll use solid written & verbal communication skills to communicate with a wide range of internal & external business partners.
- You’ll be comfortable multi-tasking in a fast paced working environment with an understanding of meeting and exceeding Service Level Agreements.
- You’ll be focused on a strong attention to detail to ensure that accuracy is maintained at all times.
- You’ll have a willingness to learn new things.
- You’ll bring a positive mindset focused on supporting those in your team and the greater business.
- You’ll increase your capability in role by utilising continuous training and development opportunities.
- The ability to work 38 hours per week, across Monday to Friday, 8:15am - 5:00pm.
At Shine, purpose really matters.
- It’s our clients, who summon the courage to stand up to injustice.
- It’s the communities we are part of and support every day.
- It’s our team, who champion what’s right and make this place what it is.
Here are some of the things we hope you’ll love about working with us:
- Connect and be you: Get the flexibility and benefits you need, and work with truly authentic people. And you can enjoy the security of a large, well-established firm that treats you as a person, not a number.
- Challenge and be challenged: We’re not here for “easy”. We want you to take your place at Shine and make a real impact. Question and challenge - that’s how we grow.
- Achieve and grow: Start your Shine journey with our in-house learning programs, where you’ll find immediate connection and be set up for success. You will be provided real opportunities to step up and grow - within your role and beyond.
Excited to join us and stand up to injustice? Apply now and make Shine Justice a place for you.
As part of The Circle Back Initiative, we want you to feel supported through our recruitment process, which means that you will hear back from our friendly team – no matter the outcome.
We are committed to making Shine Lawyers a place for you by encouraging and supporting our people to bring their authentic selves to the workplace, and as a result, we know you’ll put your best self forward while righting wrong for our clients. We’re passionate about maintaining a diverse and inclusive environment here at Shine that celebrates all of our differences with age, disability, ethnicity, gender and sexual orientation, to name a few, and we encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates. You bring you.
