An exciting opportunity has arisen within NHS Fife Theatres for an individual to join our Administration Support Team. Responsible to the Theatre Secretary, your role will be to provide 1st line support and primary contact for all administration related issues for many multi-disciplinary users. Providing a full comprehensive secretarial and administrative service to the Theatre Manager and Senior Staff within Theatres in an efficient and effective manner.

Good communication and interpersonal skills along with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team are essential. You must also have a flexible approach.

Working hours will be Monday to Friday (shift pattern to be confirmed) based within Victoria Hospital however, you will be required to work across sites to include the Queen Margaret Hospital.

Candidates should have recognised secretarial qualification(s), with relevant experience of working within a hospital setting, preferably working for a Senior Manager within NHS. A working knowledge of Clinical systems used within the NHS such as Pecos and SSTS would be a considerable advantage along with knowledge of the nurse bank process, experience as an eESS Proxy User, Microsoft TEAMS, Diary management, OHSAS referral and payroll.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
