Summary:

The position of Administrative Assistant, Benefits, is a member of the Payroll Shared Services/Benefits team. This position will focus on providing support in the administration of the Company's Health & Welfare plans. The Administrative Assistant, Benefits, will utilize proficient organizational and communication skills in order to liaise with various departments, teams and vendors.


Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage flow and assignment of all company benefits related helpdesk tickets, including FMLA, LOA, STD & 401K, researching and working with other benefits team members to resolve incoming inquiries
Receive and document employee benefit payment remittances from LOA employees and ensure payments are accurately reconciled in monthly premium billing
Review and handle qualifying life event and new hire enrollments
Updating employee benefit eligibility codes
Handling and tracking of employee medical support orders
Prepare deduction authorization forms for missed or overpaid premiums and work with the HR partners or employees directly to finalize and authorize the correction, then with the payroll team to ensure its complete
Prepare Benefit Verification letters as requested from employees
Manage daily department mail distribution
Cross train with other benefits team members to provide support and coverage during absences as needed
Assist with special projects and annual benefits open enrollment
Prepare ad hoc payroll reports as needed
Daily interaction with HR and Finance personnel
Additional special assignments when needed


Qualifications:

Experience in a broad array of Health & Welfare benefit plans with an acute attention to detail
Bilingual (preferred)
Working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now (preferred)
Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel (preferred)
Strong work ethic and team player
Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills
Decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills


For this position, the expected base pay is: $24.75 - $33.50 / Hourly. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, geographical location, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
