Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
In this role you will work closely alongside another administrator to process referrals, update calendars, schedule appointments and Mental Health Act administration. You will also fill in on the front desk when required and answer incoming calls when there is an overflow, and provide general administrative support where it is required. As this is a very busy role, is important that you are highly detail oriented, possess excellent communication skills and have fantastic time management.
The successful person will be required to undertake duties associated with the administration of our service. This role encompasses many different tasks so training will be given to assist in the development and enhancement of skills and knowledge required. The role requires you to have the ability to multitask, prioritise and adhere to deadlines all while remaining calm and keeping a sense of humour. A friendly disposition and willingness to learn is essential while previous office experience is desirable.

You will be joining a team of four other administrators who look after two community mental health teams. We are a diverse friendly group of administrators who thrive on working together as a team ensuring all work is completed in a timely manner with optimum outcome.
Wellington Central & South Community Mental Health Teams are teams of multidisciplinary professionals who provide mental health services, assessment and treatment for adults 18 years and older. Our goal is to help support our clients to lead healthy, fulfilling lives through their recovery.

You will be an experienced administrator who has exceptional people skills, is able to multi task and prioritise different work streams while keeping an eye on detail. You will be a team player who has a good sense of humour. Other skills and experience we are looking for:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong typing and computer skills - Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
- The ability to work well in a team
- Strong multi tasking skills and be able to work well under pressure
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and effective time management techniques.
