ANALYST II LABOR
Work with the Brand Leadership Team to manage store indirect labor through the development of by-store, by-department labor requirements, and review of indirect payroll. Provide Brand leadership with ongoing direct, professional, business and technical support and direction on all matters dealing with store labor and scheduling practices. Position is responsible for working with Retail Productivity Manager to ensure effective spend of Brand indirect store wages. This position is responsible for maintaining an enterprise knowledge base on business changes including business policy, format, and operational changes. Provide ongoing support to ensure store labor standard profiles, characteristics, and item mapping are accurate and up to date. The individual is responsible for ensuring WFM systems settings in Kronos and Standards Pro is current. This position is responsible for the development and maintenance of our Retail Engineered Labor Standards using a predetermined time methodology (MOST). Conducts studies in operations to maximize workflow and spatial utilization. Interacts with key business stakeholders on projects. Helps to identify business needs through interviews with stakeholders. Deliver labor impact information required to support store process change associated with key projects.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with the Brands to ensure consistent, standard processes and approaches are used to develop and manage indirect Brand labor requirements.
- Build and maintain WFM systems knowledge database inclusive of store labor standard characteristics and profiles, store plan designs and calendar changes, department hours of operations, departmental service level requirements.
- Maintain contact with key business stakeholders to ensure WFM team and WFM systems are current on changes to store format, hours of operation, etc.
- Audit configuration settings through store visits and communications with store management to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate / develop automation which helps to streamline the process for maintaining our store attributes.
- Look for methods to continuously improve the process and create better visibility at store and district level of current settings for our WFM and labor model inputs.
- Monitor weekly schedules to identify biggest opportunities and perform targeted store visits to meet with store teams to assist in schedule writing.
- Develop and maintain labor standards utilizing the MOST predetermined time methodology.
- Evaluate new business proposals and proposed store process changes to understand impact to store labor hours.
- Provide recommendations for store methods and labor management improvements.
- Continuous review of labor model to find areas for simplification. Includes the updating of store characteristics, store profiles, and labor volume drivers.
- Complete annual renewal / refresh of labor standards to ensure all business changes are considered and properly reflected in the Brand labor model.
- Provide support to the Brand to ensure labor standards are properly configured to drive the appropriate labor hour’s forecasts in enterprise workforce management system.
- Maintaining enterprise knowledge.
- Perform item Mapping updates.
- Run weekly Store Schedule and Overtime reports
- Respond to operational requests and retail needs in a timely fashion.
- Maximize labor education by providing pertinent data and analysis of labor metrics, historical data and trends.
- Hold information sharing sessions across the organization to strengthen relationships and knowledge of the impact of decisions made that impact labor.
- Work with ADUSA team as SME on Kronos Dimensions to provide direction on system errors and updates.
- Identify labor costs associated with labor contracts and how to incorporate into Kronos Dimensions.
- Complete necessary analyses to provide guidance to assist in controlling retail labor expense.
- Translate analysis into solid recommendations for labor management.
- Train retail associates in management of labor.
Experience:
- 3-4 years of industrial engineering
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- MOST certification preferred
- Intermediate Excel Experience
