Apprentice Plumber

- Ability to read plans and do a take off
- Familiarity with Scope of work and the contract
- Identification when a change order or RFI is needed
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Attending a qualified apprenticeship program.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to compute rates, ratios and percentages, as well as draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Valid driver's license
- The employee is regularly required to stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
- The employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
- The employee is frequently is required to walk, use hands and fingers to reach, feel, grasp and manipulate; and be able to reach with hands and arms.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities include the ability to see well up close and at a distance, the ability to distinguish colors, good peripheral vision and depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and heavy equipment.
- The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock (high voltage) and vibration.
- The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, and extreme heat.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required.
- Regular travel requirements with some overnight travel.
