Assistant Property Officer

The job itself

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Strategic Investment and Development team for an Assistant Property Officer. The role will support the Principal Asset Officer within the Housing Investment team to deliver the Council’s ambitious target of acquiring 1,000 new Council Homes by 2026 and into the future.

The postholder will provide administrative support in relation to collating geographical, photographic and numerical data to assist in looking at opportunities for new build affordable housing developments. The role will also require the use of a number of different software applications to obtain information and data to provide technical information to support development sites to progress. There will be a requirement to arrange and attend project meetings, attend site visits, to assist with minute taking and to assist with drafting reports.

This role will provide an opportunity for the successful applicant to learn new skills. Training will be provided on all relevant software applications. The postholder will gain valuable experience in the detailed process of the development of new Council housing from site identification through to completion of new schemes.
