Caretaker - Central London

• £13 an hour

Hours

• Shift Pattern: Tuesday - Thursday, 8am - 12pm

The role of Caretaker:

• Maintain the building and shared outside areas, ensuring cleanliness and upkeep to a high standard
• Act as keyholder and liaise with contractors, obtaining quotes and ensuring all work meets health & safety standards
• Undertake minor internal repairs and maintenance tasks such as shelving, painting, and notice boards
• Carry out regular fire safety checks, maintain security and alarm systems, and keep accurate health & safety records
• Manage stock control in our stores, including receiving deliveries, maintaining records, packing, and dispatching items
• Assist with annual stock takes and keep stock rooms organised

The ideal Caretaker:

• Good literacy and numeracy skills with basic computer ability (MS Word/Excel).
• Knowledge of health & safety and fire safety regulations.
• Basic DIY skills and familiarity with building maintenance and security systems.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent communication, reliability, and good timekeeping.
• Ability to set up and maintain computer systems for stock management.
