Cashier/Customer Service Associate

Walmart Canada is looking for a friendly and customer-service oriented individual to join our team as a Cashier/Customer Service Associate. In this role, you will play a crucial part in creating a positive and welcoming shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and interact with customers in a friendly and helpful manner

• Accurately process transactions at the cash register with efficiency and professionalism

• Scan and bag items while providing polite and efficient service

• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area and ensure shelves are fully stocked with bags, receipt paper, and other necessary items

• Assist customers with returns, exchanges, and other inquiries in a patient and courteous manner

• Process and verify price check requests

• Provide accurate product information and answer any questions customers may have

• Keep up-to-date with current promotions and store policies

• Follow all safety and security procedures to ensure the well-being of our customers and employees

• Collaborate with team members to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner

• Continuously strive to meet and exceed sales targets and customer satisfaction goals

• Any other duties as assigned by the store manager

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Previous cashier or customer service experience is an asset

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong attention to detail

• Must be able to handle cash accurately and efficiently

• Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities

• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays

• Must be able to lift up to 25lbs and stand for extended periods of time
