Children and Family Worker

We are recruiting a Full Time Permanent Children and Family Worker to join our Children in Need/Child Protection Team in Ellesmere Port. You will work alongside experienced and qualified Social Workers with children and their families and/or carers where there are concerns for the wellbeing and safety of children that require the assessment and intervention of Statutory Services. This includes supporting Social Workers in assessing children’s needs and developing, implementing, and reviewing plans; ensuring the voice of the child is heard and their views expressed. Working with a trauma informed approach with families and partner agencies to ensure children achieve good outcomes and successful plans of permanence.

Children and Family workers are encouraged and supported to work creatively and collaboratively with children and families, social workers and partner agencies to contribute to planning and decision-making for children to achieve positive outcomes and with a focus on prevention at every level.
