We are seeking a diligent and reliable School Cleaner to join our team and contribute to maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout our school premises.

Salary: £22,308 per annum.


Hours: 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday, working 7.00am until 3.00pm with half an hour unpaid for lunch.


Key Responsibilities:

  • To undertake the cleaning and sanitisation of the school buildings in accordance with the weekly cleaning schedule or as directed by the Cleaning Supervisor;
  • To ensure that all classrooms, corridors, washrooms and boarding houses are cleaned and sanitised regularly, and a high standard of hygiene is maintained at all times;
  • To ensure areas to be used are clean and tidy prior to the start of their use;
  • To ensure all cleaning materials are used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions;
  • To maintain and keep tidy in your designated areas a stock of cleaning materials and consumable products (toilet tissue, soap, hand towels, bin bags etc.);
  • To report any defective equipment or maintenance issues promptly to the Cleaning Supervisor;
  • To ensure that safe working practices are adopted at all times;
  • Adhere to all School Policies to include but not be limited to Safeguarding and Child Protection, Code of Conduct and Health & Safety;
  • To promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young persons for whom you are responsible and with whom you come into contact.
