Salary: £11 per hour

Location: Falkirk

Contract/Hours: Permanent, Part-Time (working 15 hours a week) – 3 hours a day, Monday to Friday (ideally 9am-12pm but some flexibility)

A bit about the role

Tayavalla Short Breaks service offers support to children and young people with disabilities, from the ages 5 through to 18. Tayavalla is a purpose built home where we support up to five children at any one time. When children stay, we can offer a range of activities and experiences through the facilities we have.

We're looking for a Cleaner to provide a range of domestic tasks to ensure a high level of cleanliness and hygiene of premises and / or designated areas to meet the service standard and specifications leading to the delivery of services within a safe and caring environment for service users, visitors and employees.

How you'll help to create brighter futures

Some key responsibilities for the Cleaner role are;

• Undertaking cleaning of designated premises, work and service areas, as detailed in the cleaning schedule ensuring completion within the set timescales.
• Following food hygiene regulations when preparing and serving meals.
• Maintaining a stock of cleaning supplies necessary to complete tasks and where necessary, alert management to the need to replenish the stock.
• Being responsible for the safe use and storage of cleaning materials, in line with Health & Safety at Work Regulations and Action for Children policies.
• Maintaining a clean and tidy kitchen, including cleaning and safely packing away kitchen equipment, cutlery and utensils.
• Shopping tasks as an when required.

Let's talk about you

• Experience in a similar role is desirable.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team.
• The ability to work on your own initiative when required.
• A good knowledge of COSHH and Health and Safety at work would be beneficial.
