Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm (6 hours per day), term time plus additional hours to be worked in academy closure period as directed to meet the business needs of the academy.

Monday to Friday 4.00pm to 6pm (2 hours per day), term time plus additional hours to be worked in academy closure period as directed to meet the business needs of the academy.

Responsible to: The Executive Headteacher via Business Manager via Cleaning Coordinator.

Chantry Academy is a thriving and ambitious, Ofsted rated good academy. Due to our growing student numbers, we are looking to recruit two additional cleaners to join our friendly and dedicated cleaning team. It is important that our students have the best learning environment, and our cleaners provide a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness throughout our academy buildings and surroundings.

You must have a general knowledge of cleaning and good communication skills. You will play a key role in helping to make and maintain a positive, organised, efficient and clean environment. Training in the use of equipment will be provided.

You will:

• be a cleaner who can handle heavy equipment and machinery used in cleaning
• have the ability to walk, bend, push, pull and lift repetitively during working hours
• have knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods
• have excellent communication skills and the ability to work as a team
• have the highest expectations for the attainment of all young people.
