Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
- Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with security controls such as encryption, identity management and access control, attack vectors, and penetration testing.
- Experience with cloud or on-premises infrastructure engineering.
- Experience with virtualization and/or containerization platforms.
- Experience in migrating applications and services to cloud platforms.
- Experience with networking concepts such as software-defined networking, routing, virtual private networks, load balancers, and firewalls.

As a Customer Engineer, you will work with technical Sales teams to differentiate Google Cloud to our customers. You will help prospective and existing customers develop creative cloud solutions and architectures to solve their business challenges, engage in proofs of concepts, and troubleshoot any technical questions and roadblocks. You will use your expertise and presentation skills to engage with customers to understand their business and technical requirements, and present practical and useful solutions on Google Cloud.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$214,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, key customer technical objections and develop a strategy to resolve technical blockers.
- Manage the technical relationship with Google’s customers, including product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and the coordination of additional technical resources.
- Work with customers to demonstrate and prototype Google Cloud product integrations in customer/partner environments
- Guide customers through assessments of existing legacy application environment(s), provide recommendations on a roadmap for application modernization.
- Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms and application infrastructure required to successfully implement a complete solution on Google Cloud.
