Data Center Technical Support and Service Technician

Tier.Net, a recognized leader in the hosting industry, is seeking qualified technicians to provide customer support and to perform server and network maintenance and repair services at our Dallas, Texas datacenter.

US-owned with offices headquartered in New York and Florida, Tier.Net operates in datacenters strategically located throughout the USA, providing shared, VPS, dedicated, and colocation hosting services.

If you have a good working knowledge of networking hardware, are familiar with rackmount servers and the hosting industry, we invite you to join our team.

General Requirements:

- Hardware troubleshooting skills with comfort working in a datacenter environment

- Ability to set up and maintain enterprise grade hardware from various manufacturers (Dell, Supermicro, HP, etc)

- Ability to install (and remove) racks, shelving, power strips, rails, and cabling within a datacenter

- Ability to perform operating system installs with different versions of Windows and Linux

- Manage and reply to customer support requests via support ticket, live chat, and/or phone. Knowledge of WHMCS a plus!

- Maintain accurate records of datacenter equipment and services performed

- Have flexibility to work different shifts on occasion which sometimes may include nights, weekends, and holidays

Pay: $47,840.00 - $62,400.00 per year
