Join us as a Depositary Monitoring & Control Officer

  • We’re looking for someone to help assess and make sure we adhere to a culture of adequate and effective control and testing across the business
  • You’ll play a key role in minimising regulatory and operational risk across the business through the design and implementation of our Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and other regulatory frameworks
  • We’ll provide you with the opportunity to build strong working relationships with key stakeholders in this role, giving you and your work lots of exposure

What you'll do

As a Depositary Monitoring & Control Officer, you’ll be assisting in the delivery of an effective and compliant operational risk framework regime for the business area. This will involve undertaking control testing, highlighting findings, and working with the business and key partners to remediate and implement fit-for-purpose solutions.

You’ll also be:

  • Supporting the Business Risk team with the delivery and implementation of different projects
  • Identifying and documenting control failings, process improvements, and the effectiveness of the business controls against policy
  • Helping to develop and improve the test plan operating model with an aim to improving effectiveness and efficiency without increasing risk
  • Proactively identifying and effectively managing conduct risk to deliver key customer outcomes

The skills you'll need

To join us in this role, you’ll need in-depth knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and a good understanding of the Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework.

You’ll also demonstrate:

  • The ability to identify and mitigate risk
  • Good negotiating and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills and the ability to adapt to a target audience
  • A proven ability to build fit-for-purpose solutions for internal and external clients
