Join us at Barclays as a European Regulatory Operations Senior Client Asset Segregation Sourcebook (CASS) Calculation Specialist. This role is within the European Regulatory Operations team. The team is responsible for the Client Asset Segregation Sourcebook (CASS) oversight of Operational activity within Global Market Operations to ensure the firm meets its client and regulatory obligations to protect assets belonging to clients of the Investment Bank. The role will include the validation and first level review of the Global Market Operations (GMO) daily Client Money and Stock Shortfall calculations, as well as operating daily preventative and detective controls to eliminate CASS risk. The team has a wide reach working with Market Operations teams around the globe as well as individual business areas, central risk teams and compliance functions.
To be successful in the role of Client Asset Segregation Sourcebook (CASS) Operations Specialist, you should have:
Strong awareness of CASS regulations and their practical application.
Experience in risk management, particularly in relation to client assets and regulatory compliance.
Competent level understanding of 2-3 functional areas of Market Operations (Trade Management; Settlement & Delivery; Asset Servicing; reconciliations etc).
Supervising the end-to-end calculations of the team.
Maintaining strong relationships upstream and downstream within the team and the wider business as a whole.

Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders across different teams.
Experience in financial services or a similar regulatory environment is desirable
Proficiency in Excel and other relevant Microsoft Office tools.

This role will be based out of Glasgow.
Purpose of the role
To support business areas with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading and issue resolution.
Accountabilities
Support various business areas with day-to-day initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution.
Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate operational processes.
Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations in operational processes.
Development and implementation of operational procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.
Development of reports and presentations on operational performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in banking operations.
Participation in projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
