Job Title : Student (General Laborer)

Performance Expectations

• Available to work a variety of shifts:
  • Day 7am-3pm;
  • Afternoon 3pm-11pm;
  • Night 11pm-7am next day
• Follow priorities set by supervisors and sequence their tasks within a set framework.
• Perform quality checks as required.
• Interfaces with Lead hands, Set-up personnel, Maintenance workers and co-workers.
• Responsible for quality control. Reject product outside of specifications.
• Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
• Communicate with operators from other shifts.
• Provide on-the-job guidance to new employees.
• Learn continuously on the job; take part in in-house training sessions to learn about new products or processes.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and notify your Supervisor or Manager of any known hazards

Credentials

Enrolled in High School or Postsecondary School, for at least 1 year (graduating August 31, 2025 or later)

Desired Characteristics

• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
• Able to follow basic instructions
• Able to perform repetitive tasks
• Able to interact with co-workers to exchange information about tasks and to co-ordinate work.
• Moves equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
