Farm Shop Assistant

Priory Farm Estate is offering an ideal opportunity to hone customer service skills within a busy retail environment.

Full training will be available for the candidate who is able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, a high level of attention to detail and a willingness to learn.

Please note that all shop floor roles are fairly manual and involve being on your feet, lifting and carrying.

Key responsibilities:

• Exceed customer expectations by providing a friendly, knowledgeable service.
• Creating eye-catching displays, keeping fresh produce counters well stocked free from spoiled fruit and veg, and with correct prices displayed.
• Organise the fridge, cold stores and stock room.
• Serve customers and operate the till.
• Maintain a clean and tidy work space.
• Support a safe working environment (H&S, Food Hygiene and company policies).

Hours of Work

• Monday & Saturday
• 0800 - 1730
• 30-minute unpaid break for lunch.
• Closed Easter Sunday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, 27th December and New Year’s Day.

Today, over 65 years later, we have created a bustling rural hub consisting of our award-winning farm shop, gift barn, family adventure trail, seasonal pumpkin picking, event venue, and newly renovated extension and state-of-the-art Butchery, Garden Centre and Café.
