About us

This is a great opportunity to join the Corporate Services Accountancy team and help provide a wide range of financial services that support all Council activities.

The role

You will be responsible for your own group of accounts to reconcile and be required to work to a high level of accuracy within strict deadlines. You will also be required to assist the Accountancy teams that support each Council Directorate, major Capital projects, and a diverse and exciting investment portfolio.

You will gain valuable experience in the use of a number of the Council's key financial systems and will contribute towards preparing a full set of year end accounts.

The post also offers an opportunity for a career in Accountancy with support provided for the right candidate to train towards formal Accountancy qualifications such as AAT and CIPFA.
