The Cahill Group is seeking collaborative and enthusiastic candidates for a Front Desk Administrator to join our team for a temporary replacement position in St. John’s, NL. In this role, you will work 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. The successful candidate is required to be based full-time out of our corporate office in St. John’s, NL.

As a Front Desk Administrator, you play a dynamic role in the continuing success of the organization. A positive, friendly attitude with a professional image is paramount in this role as you will be the first point of contact for each individual entering the building. You will be responsible for covering the front desk, answering and forwarding calls in a timely manner, and ensuring that all incoming and outgoing mail is handled with care.

In this role, you possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and acquire a strong, detail-oriented work ethic. The ideal candidate will be passionate about contributing to a collaborative and rewarding work environment, while being able to work efficiently in a team-based environment and independently. What will you do?

  • Maintain a professional image and a positive attitude as the first point-of-contact for the company
  • Ensure the Front Desk is covered during business hours
  • Answer and forward all incoming calls from the switchboard
  • Open, date stamp, and distribute all incoming correspondence for the company
  • Open, distribute, and file all incoming electronic faxes
  • Handle all incoming and outgoing couriers
  • Complete Credit Applications and have them signed in a timely manner
  • Order office supplies for all business locations, including South Side Road and Torbay Road
  • Reconcile local and national couriers and supplier invoices
  • Manage the schedule for company vehicles
  • Perform general maintenance and housekeeping in common areas including restocking and ordering supplies
  • Engage as part of the CERT team
  • Provide additional administrative support to all company departments when required and appropriate

  • Successful completion of an Office Administration program
  • 1 – 3 years of related experience
  • Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills
  • Outgoing and self-motivated
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and/or independently
  • Detail-oriented work ethic
