Full Professorship in Molecular Mechanisms of Disease

About the position

We are particularly interested in, but not limited to, research focused on diseases associated with metabolic disorders, dysregulated cellular stress responses and quality control mechanisms, aberrant epigenetic regulation, RNA biology and chromosome organization, as well as host-pathogen interactions and immune dysfunction. Candidates should demonstrate an exceptional and internationally recognized track record in the mechanistic analysis of disease, and a research direction that is both original and innovative.

We welcome approaches that connect fundamental biological questions with cutting-edge technologies, such as organoids, in vitro disease models, and multiscale analysis platforms integrating experiment and (AI/ML-powered) computational modeling to uncover causality at the molecular level and system-level dysfunction. The successful candidate will join a vibrant, collaborative, and interdisciplinary environment that fosters scientific excellence and innovation.
