The post holder will maintain administration processes in regard to Switchboard, Canteen and local purchase provision on behalf of prisoners.
Responsibilities

Carry out general office administration duties such as operating the switchboard, filing, photocopying, typing, collating/distributing mail etc.


Provide assistance and cover for the bag & tag Canteen Administrator as well as providing assistance and cover for the Stores Administrator Provide cover for the Mail Administrator. Conduct stock checks of canteen and stores items and reconcile these to stock issued.


Accurately check, record and balance (on Prisoner Records) all monies received for prisoners from visitors, bankline and via external mail.


Prepare and issue prisoner canteen sheets and local purchase sheets. Process prisoner telephone phone account transactions through SPOT. Process prisoner local purchases, including the sorting and bagging of items received. Checking and filing of orderly room paperwork.


Support all areas as and when required.

Qualification Requirements

A minimum of two National 5’s, or equivalent, including English and Mathematics or Arithmetic or relevant administration experience. - Essential


Knowledge, Skills and Experience Requirements

Competent and experienced in all aspects of administration. - Essential


Competent in the use of Microsoft Office Packages including Excel, Word, Outlook etc. - Essential


Ability to analyse, interpret and report on a range of information. - Essential


Knowledge of relevant national legislation and guidelines. - Desirable
