Responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining exceptional customer service by enforcing quality interactions, and solving problems
- Handling and preparing all dairy and frozen merchandise
- Assisting in driving sales, margins, and offering ideas to generate revenue
- Coordinating and participating in departmental duties and tasks
- Ensuring merchandising, production, and health & safety standards are maintained
- Handling all varieties and types of dairy and chilled goods
- Adhering to Evergreen Co-op policies and procedures
- Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards
- Ordering of merchandise, and promotional items under the direction of the Grocery Manager
- Maintaining and controlling inventory levels
We are ideally seeking candidates with the following qualifications:
- Ability to work in cool, damp, and humid environments
- Organizational skills and great time management
- Proficiency in Microsoft programs and computer skills
- Quality communication and interpersonal skills, positive attitude and a team player
- Strong awareness of safety in every task
- Sense of urgency, and customer first attitude
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to be physically active and lift up to 50Ibs unassisted, as well as a good portion of the day doing static positions
