Grocery Clerk

Responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining exceptional customer service by enforcing quality interactions, and solving problems
• Handling and preparing all dairy and frozen merchandise
• Assisting in driving sales, margins, and offering ideas to generate revenue
• Coordinating and participating in departmental duties and tasks
• Ensuring merchandising, production, and health & safety standards are maintained
• Handling all varieties and types of dairy and chilled goods
• Adhering to Evergreen Co-op policies and procedures
• Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards
• Ordering of merchandise, and promotional items under the direction of the Grocery Manager
• Maintaining and controlling inventory levels

We are ideally seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

• Ability to work in cool, damp, and humid environments
• Organizational skills and great time management
• Proficiency in Microsoft programs and computer skills
• Quality communication and interpersonal skills, positive attitude and a team player
• Strong awareness of safety in every task
• Sense of urgency, and customer first attitude
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to be physically active and lift up to 50Ibs unassisted, as well as a good portion of the day doing static positions
