Gynaecology Services are looking to recruit a friendly and approachable receptionist/booking clerk for B1 clinic in Neath Port Talbot Hospital. The role is a 37.5 hour
The successful candidate will provide administrative/reception support to facilitate the smooth, efficient and effective running of outpatient clinics, greeting patients, attending and appointing appointments on WPAS, handling of patient notes and tracking of notes on IFIT, accurate data entry on WPAS and delivering notes to secretaries.
We are looking for individuals with good clinical interpersonal and communication skills, who are willing and able to adapt to change and to work individually within their level of competence.
The successful candidate will provide administrative/reception support to facilitate the smooth, efficient and effective running of outpatient clinics, greeting patients, attending and appointing appointments on WPAS, handling of patient notes and tracking of notes on IFIT, accurate data entry on WPAS and delivering notes to secretaries.
The role involves greeting patients, receive and process referrals into the service and ensure that they are recorded on the WPAS system.
Current experience of working in a fast pace d busy reception environment is desirable.
The role will require the successful candidate to work in a busy outpatient departments within Neath/Port Talbot hospital.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Responsible for faxing and photocopying as identified by the appropriate member of staff, which may include confidential or sensitive information, ensuring any confidential material not required is disposed of correctly.
Attend departmental meetings as appropriate.
Provide non-clinical information or guidance to patients/relatives.
Distribute/redirect as required clinical and patient correspondence.
Liaise with Medical staff/Clinic staff regarding clinic availability slots.
Assist with general clerical duties as necessary including receiving, delivering and sorting mail.
Attend education and training activities in line with Departmental and Organisational objectives as agreed.
Take responsibility for personal development and education.
Maintain high-level of operational understanding of Health Board Policies to ensure consistent and appropriate application at all times.
Personal duty of care for the safe use of equipment.
Work in a busy, sometimes stressful environment in a safe, organised manner.
