HR and Administrative Generalist

Assist the HR Director and CFO with administrative work and other duties as assigned for all locations in the US. Benefit administration and bill pay. Payroll backup. Employee assistance with all HR related questions. Available to help CFO and CEO with special projects and administrative tasks.

  • Keeping the ADP front page up to date. Working on and coordinating the company newsletter and communication plan along with town hall meetings and ad hoc meetings as needed.
  • Coordinating new hire onboarding activities, such as preparing and sending paperwork, conducting orientation sessions, and assisting with the setup of new employee workspaces. Setting up drug screening for new hires in Minnesota
  • Supporting employee benefit programs, including enrollment, changes, and inquiries related to health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits.
  • Maintaining employee records and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations. Scanning any documents into appropriate employee file record in ADP.
  • Providing general support to employees.
  • Assisting in the administration of performance appraisal processes and maintaining performance review records.
  • Responding to employee inquiries related to HR policies, procedures, and general employment matters.
  • Assisting with HR projects and initiatives such as wellness initiatives, and employee engagement activities. Coordinating employee/company events and parties.

Payroll Backup Responsibilities using ADP Workforce Now

  • Partner with the payroll coordinator in processing payroll for all employees using the ADP Workforce Now platform, including entering new hires, terminations, time and attendance data, and other payroll-related information. Backup for Payroll.
  • Managing and maintaining accurate employee records, such as pay rates, tax withholdings, and direct deposit information within the ADP system. Making sure that proper forms are filed in HR and Payroll for employee personal changes and company changes such as promotions or transfers and terminations.
  • Generating and distributing payroll information and reports on schedule and as requested.
  • Calculating and processing adjustments, bonuses, commissions, and other payroll-related payments accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements within the ADP system.
  • Reconciling payroll data, resolving discrepancies, and addressing payroll-related inquiries from employees.
  • Assisting with the administration of employee benefits, such as health insurance deductions, retirement contributions, and other voluntary benefits within the ADP system.
  • Generating payroll reports and providing data analysis as needed for management and accounting purposes.
  • Collaborating with HR and finance teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency in payroll processing and reporting.
  • Staying informed about updates and changes to payroll laws, regulations, and ADP system functionality to ensure compliance and best practices.
