Overview

The Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for partnering with Operations Leaders and the broader Human Resources function to execute key people processes including employee relations, change management, and talent development. Located in Taber, Alberta.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key business partner to Taber Production Manager and Supervisors for the business unit.
  • Coach and guide Manager and Supervisors regarding Company policies and procedures; interpret intent to ensure policies and procedures are handled consistently and in a timely manner.
  • Partner with Taber Production Manager to build Supervisor capability through coaching and feedback.
  • Drive the employee relations agenda, including employee advocacy, design team, guiding teams, and dispute resolution.
  • Partner with Taber Production Manager to develop and execute strategies to improve organizational health and culture.
  • Lead and participate in Diversity, Inclusion & Equity initiatives.
  • Understand the business and operate from both a strategic and tactical perspective
  • Ensure actions comply with all provincial and federal employment legislation and regulation.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field; and or relevant continuing education.
  • CPHR designation an asset
  • 3+ years prior HR generalist experience
  • Must be a confident communicator, both written and verbal, and able to effectively present to all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects with overlapping tasks and work independently.
  • Must have reliable transportation to the Taber facility.
