Join Our Team as an HR Specialist!
Are you an experienced HR professional looking to make an impact in a dynamic environment? Suzuki Marine USA LLC, head-quartered in Tampa, FL is seeking a detail-oriented HR Specialist to manage our multi-state, bi-weekly payroll, maintain our HRMS, and support various HR initiatives. If you're passionate about payroll accuracy, employee onboarding, and contributing to a collaborative HR team, we want to hear from you!
What You'll Do:
- Payroll Management: Process and release bi-weekly payroll on time, audit payroll data, and resolve discrepancies quickly and accurately.
- HRMS & Records: Maintain and update employee records in our HRMS, ensuring accuracy and compliance with both electronic and paper files.
- Reporting & Compliance: Design and distribute monthly and ad-hoc reports, support compliance reporting, and assist with internal audits.
- Onboarding & Offboarding: Lead the onboarding process for new hires and manage the offboarding process, ensuring a seamless transition for all employees.
- Recruitment Support: Assist with recruitment by posting job opportunities, scheduling interviews, and managing candidate communication.
- Benefits Management: Handle benefit enrollments, invoices, and support the HR budget and purchase orders.
- Employee Support: Provide answers to routine HR-related questions, interpret policy within guidelines, and manage payroll-related inquiries like PTO and vacation accruals.
- Committee Involvement: Participate in and potentially lead HR-sponsored committees, such as our wellness initiatives.
- Year-End & Tax Compliance: Manage quarterly and year-end payroll and benefit requirements and ensure compliance with multi-state tax laws.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of payroll experience with a multi-state employer.
- 2 years of experience with HRMS platforms like UKGPro or ADP Workforce.
- 2 years of generalist HR experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with employees at all levels.
- A commitment to confidentiality, detail orientation, and meeting deadlines.
- A patient and professional demeanor, with a strong work ethic and team-oriented mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in HRIS management or benefits administration.
- A solid understanding of labor laws.
- Strong analytical skills.
