- 2+ years previous experience in Safety-related activities
- Proficient in PC supported MS programs Excel, Word and Access
- Candidate must be willing to respond as appropriate to all emergencies and be able to maintain any certifications or licenses required including first aid and CPR
- Must be willing and able to work all shifts
- Associates must be in good standing
Key job responsibilities
- Assist in implementing, monitoring, and evaluating the workplace to ensure compliance with Company Safety policies in order to provide a safe and secure workplace for employees, visitors, vendors, and guests.
- Maintain daily, documentation requirements to report activities, and other related safety prevention matters.
- Perform work task Risk Assessments and develop safety standard work in conjunction with associates.
- Complete ergonomic assessments on job tasks, incorporating findings into applicable Standard Work.
- Provide immediate aid to associates, visitors, vendors, or guests that need assistance, or medical attention as appropriate.
- Investigate, compile and develop investigative reports on any incident/accident that may occur; and ensure action items are adequately complete. Conduct Root Cause Analyses in conjunction with Operations leadership.
- Coordinate with any outside emergency agency, Fire, Police, Sheriff, OSHA, etc.
- Be a leader in customer service to the Operations team. Understand and frequently work in operations process paths.
- Respond to situations, as they arise, based on direction from the Safety Manager.
- Perform site physical condition safety observations, associate safety behavior observations; and, audits and inspections in relation to fire and safety related equipment.
- Conduct training and participate in new manager orientations, associate orientations, and pre-shift meetings.
- Assist in CPR/First aid, power equipment training and any other programs assigned by the Safety Manager.
- Facilitate and attend 5S and Kaizen events.
