International Student Recruitment Officer
Perks & Benefits:
International Recruitment
The University of Surrey is a global community of ideas and people, dedicated to life-changing education and research.
We are ambitious and have a bold vision of what we want to achieve - shaping ourselves into one of the best universities in the world.
Our culture empowers people to achieve this aim and to collectively, and individually, make a real difference.
The role
As the International Officer for Pakistan and the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region you will play a pivotal role in representing the University of Surrey globally, fostering high-quality engagements with prospective students, their families, agents, sponsors, and school counsellors. Using a variety of recruitment methods, you will work with colleagues to effectively promote the University to potential students - this will include organising virtual and in person events overseas and in the UK, for example pre-departure briefings or campus visits by international schools.
You will be expected to lead on the development and implementation of regional recruitment plans with minimal supervision, delivering growth and directly contributing to the University’s international student intake targets.
About you
We’re looking for an applicant with experience working in higher education in an international recruitment role. You’ll have experience of dealing with overseas recruitment, and will possess a broad awareness of the international recruitment sector, both commercially and culturally. You’ll be confident in delivering presentations, complex projects, and running events, and will be able to demonstrate good IT skills (particularly using Word, Excel, Dynamics, and email).
International travel to your region is expected in this post, so we require all applicants to hold a valid passport and be willing to travel.
What we can offer
In addition to salary, you will receive a yearly incremental pay rise, generous annual leave entitlement of 25 days holiday plus 7 university closure days and 8 bank holidays, a generous pension, access to world-class leisure facilities on campus, a range of travel schemes, and supportive family friendly benefits including an excellent on-site nursery.
Further Information
To apply for this role, please upload a CV and cover letter.
