Investigations Officer

As the Investigations Officer, you will: - Undertake investigations into possible breaches of legislation administered by the Office of Fair Trading (OFT).- Undertake proactive compliance strategies and activities.- Contribute to the development and evaluation of proactive compliance strategies.- Prepare prosecution briefs and represent the OFT in court proceedings.- Monitor a wide range of marketplace activity for compliance with legislation and initiate corrective action where necessary in accordance with the OFT's policies and procedures.- Prepare correspondence and reports relating to the investigation of complaints of a complex or sensitive nature.- Conduct industry and community engagement activities which contribute to the OFT's goals, including the delivery of information and education sessions.- Guide, support and assist other OFT officers in the conduct of their duties.- Provide accurate and relevant information and advice to clients regarding OFT's legislation, services, policies, procedures, forms, fees etc.- Develop and maintain a sound knowledge of OFT legislation, regulations, policies and procedures.Applications to remain current for 12 months.This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Australia License.
