IT Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, diagnose, and maintain agency IT equipment such as PCs, laptops, printers, MFPs, AV equipment, and phones.
• Support user account management in systems including Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange.
• Track and resolve support requests using internal help desk software.
• Assist with hardware and software purchases and maintain an accurate IT inventory list.
• Execute desktop-related tasks and projects, including system upgrades and connectivity improvements.
• Provide basic end-user training and document best practices and procedures.
• Support agency moves and changes, including device setup and configurations.
• Represent the Agency’s mission, vision, and values in all interactions.
• Perform other assigned duties.

What You Will Bring:

• A post-secondary diploma in Computer Systems Technology or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 2 years of related IT experience.
• IT certifications (e.g., A+) are considered an asset.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange, Outlook, and Office.
• Experience with HP and Lenovo hardware, MFPs, and phone systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
• A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• A valid Ontario driver’s license and willingness to travel between agency sites in the GTA.
