JOB DESCRIPTION
FLSA STATUS: Non - Exempt
TITLE: Janitor
DEPARMENT: Operations
LOCATION: Theater
SUPERVISORY RESPONSABILITY No
REPORTS TO: General Manager
JOB SUMMARY
Self-motivated individual that is responsible for completion of daily janitorial needs. This includes vacuuming of floors in all areas, cleaning soiled carpets when needed, mopping all areas, cleaning restrooms, restocking restroom paper products, and all trash removal.
JOB DUTIES
  • Work independently and follow instructions with little or no supervision.
  • Perform janitorial tasks including dusting, glass cleaning, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, restroom cleaning, paper restocking, and trash removal.
  • Use industrial cleaning supplies and equipment and follow all MSDS safety guidelines.
  • Maintain equipment in safe, clean, and orderly manner. Report any repairs needed to Janitorial lead.
  • Adhere to safety procedures.
  • Maintain security of building at all times, keeping all interior and exterior doors securely locked.
  • Report any unsafe or hazardous conditions immediately to Janitorial lead.
  • Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
  • Must be able to report to assigned job on time.
  • Must able to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, reach, pull and lift heavy objects of 40 or more pounds and climb stairs.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Must have reliable means of transportation to and from work.
  • Position may require travel to other locations.
  • Flexible working hours including nights, holidays and weekends.

While performing the duties of this job, you will walk, bend, and stand for periods of time. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. The employee may be asked to light lift 25lbs to 50lbs occasionally with assistance.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a theater environment where typical levels of noise, dust and activity can be expected. The noise level in the work environment is typical for cinemas and can vary from moderate to high depending on areas of premise.
